Sembra davvero troppo bello per essere vero: Wayne Coyne, già cantante e uomo-che-cammina-in-una-biglia-gigante-sulle-teste-del-pubblico nei Flaming Lips, è stato fotografato per caso da Google Street View mentre fa il bagno in una vasca all’aperto nei sobborghi di Oklahoma City, dove vive (e, come è noto, dove gli hanno pure intitolato una via). A riportare la notizie è il Daily Telegraph, che l’ha ripescata su un forum di fan della band che sono riusciti a riconoscere Coyne su Street View da "Blob in the bath", l’installazione che mise in piedi sul suo giardino in occasione dell’Halloween del 2007, quando la foto evidentemente è stata scattata:
Coyne can be seen lounging outdoors beneath a hand-painted sign that reads "Blob in the Bath", in what must be a contender for strangest ever celebrity Street View sighting.
The bizarre display was spotted by fans of The Flaming Lips as they explored the suburb of Oklahoma City where the 49-year-old performer was raised and still lives with his family.
"Wayne, you’re a beautiful weirdo," posted one commenter on the band’s official forum, whose members alerted the Google Sightseeing blog to their find. […]
A video posted on MySpace indicates that the "Blob in the Bath" installation was part of the neighbourhood Hallowe’en celebration hosted by Coyne and his wife Michelle in 2007. The bath was apparently rigged up to boil like a cauldron.
Other images on the social networking website show Coyne dressed in a long white wig sitting on a lavatory next to the bath, both of which appear to be splattered with fake blood. [#]
